The Bench Self Made Gallery
Sundae worked with Bench to curate and publicise a year-long programme of events at their Self Made Gallery, a free multi-purpose creative space beneath the iconic Bench store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
The brief was to draw a new audience to the live event space, whilst creating brand defining digital and social content for the brand’s global blogs and social channels.
The Self Made brand is all about ‘people that make things happen’ and so we welcomed these people into the space to make, create, perform and network with like-minded people – and new Bench fans.
A key part of the programme was Lunch Time Live, a platform for up and coming Manchester bands to reach a new audience. Featuring Manchester’s hottest news bands including JJ Rosa, Brown Brogues, Frazer King, The Quangos and Letters to Fiesta, the event grew into its own night-time gig at Gorilla – Bench Live.
The gallery programme included Liam Hopkins (Lazerian)’s The Alchemy Collection, as featured in Design Week and We Heart and Design Manchester’s 10×10 which launched Manchester’s new week-long design festival with work from 17 of Manchester’s most talented creatives – including John Cooper Clarke.
There were some incredible videos, photos, art and music created in the gallery in 2012/2013, check out the video of The Alchemy Collection here.Share Menu
